The aforementioned Guidelines were amended and promulgated via Letter No. 1140014436 of the Indigenous Peoples Commission, Taichung City Government, on December 12, 114 (2025), and shall take effect on January 1, 115 (2026).

The key points of the current amendments are as follows:
(1) The title has been revised to “Guidelines for Subsidies for Indigenous Education, Culture, and Social Welfare Programs of the Indigenous Peoples Commission, Taichung City Government.”
(2) The subsidy categories have been consolidated as follows:

Indigenous education, culture, language learning, and related activities.

Indigenous traditional sports training and activities.

Indigenous family and social education, lifelong learning, and related activities.

Indigenous health promotion, social welfare, volunteer services, and related activities.

Indigenous economic and industrial development promotion training and activities.

Other matters related to the Commission’s policies and relevant indigenous affairs.
(3) The number of subsidies available to each applicant per year has been revised to one, and the maximum subsidy amount for general projects has been revised to NT$25,000. Provisions regarding subsidies for Indigenous seasonal ceremonial and cultural activities have also been newly added.
(4) Circumstances under which subsidies shall not be granted have been added as follows:

Activities of a social or recreational nature, such as gatherings, travel, exchanges, visits, observation tours, or routine meetings.

Activities held outside the jurisdiction of Taichung City.
(5) Revisions have been made to the reimbursement procedures for expenditure documents, with the wording adjusted to align with applicable laws and regulations.
(6) The handling and management of expenditure documents by subsidized organizations shall be conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations, and accounting systems stipulated by their respective competent authorities.

Application period: Applications shall be submitted no later than one month prior to the commencement of the activity, with the final application deadline being December 1 of each year.

The total annual budget under these Guidelines is NT$1.6 million. No further subsidy applications will be accepted once the budget has been fully allocated.
